We take wining, dining and traveling to extraordinary levels!

Monica & Mark partner with Doumina Whyman, The Enthusiastic Traveler, to take 18 people on a fabulous 7 night, 8 day gourmet food & wine tour of Piemonte & Tuscany

You will encounter the local people, culture, food, wine and traditions of these amazing regions as no other visitor can.

Doumina & Monica created a food and wine tour that includes exclusive meals, hands-on cooking classes, famous art, historic towns, historic churches, ancient ruins, Small Vineyard’s wineries, and so much more.

If you love food and wine, and you want to experience Italy, rather than to simply visit there, this is the trip for you. Contact Monica for more information and to get your name on the list for this amazing trip.

~Salute!

The Trip in 2010: October 21-28

We will enjoy the best culinary dishes in both of these regions as well as wines from Small Vineyard Estates. These are small production wines that are difficult to find, and we have a few of them here for you to taste in the cafe.

Local Art in the Café-Ongoing

Come in and check it out!

We were so completely honored and surprised in 2008 when you voted us one of the Best Art Galleries in Central Kitsap! We took third place to two actual art galleries and we just think that is completely fabulous!!

Team Bakery is proud to present local artists and authors for our community to enjoy so thank you for showing us that you love how we do that!

Upstairs we have the beautiful woodworks of Margurite Wagner. Inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, the artist transforms reclaimed lumber striving to preserve the beauty of nature in each unique work. As a child Marguerite would watch her father build furniture and other small items for use in their home. In the subsequent years she created within many mediums from paint to photography; completed business and fine arts degrees; and excelled in the corporate world. In the late 1980's she inherited some of her father's tools and rediscovered her passion for wood. She quickly discovered the beauty that could be found in "scrap" as she taught herself to use hand and power tools. Her creativity took hold and Marguerite found herself bringing home unique pieces of lumber "just because". A true "reverse woodworker", she rarely works from a plan - she lets the raw piece of lumber evolve into its ultimate state.

In the stairwell we have some wonderful works by kids at Kitsap Art School of the Arts You will be very impressed by these kids and their talents!

We also have some beautiful jewelry displayed and for sale upstairs. Debra Saldivar, of Luna Azul Designs won 'Best of Show' at the September 2008 Art Walk, and we love having her beautiful beading techniques, wire work and metal-smithing for you to admire, or better yet to take home and wear!

Downstairs enjoy the mixed media/watercolors by Janet Hayford and Deanna Hansen. These ladies are two of our favorite customers and favorite artists, and they have adorned our walls with beautiful seasonal scenes.

Chris Hughes of Harmony Artworks has crafted the dream catchers that are in the windows, both upstairs and down.

We also have books by local authors:

Columnist Sally Santana, Poet Elizabeth Ellen, Novelists Wally Carlson, Sarah Nilson,Natalie Newport, and Chefs Roberto Russo and Jeremy McLauchlan all have signed copies of their books for sale and they all make great gifts!

NEXT ART WALK: Friday June 18, 6-8 pm

Featurine Margurite Wagner's Woodworking (see above for more info)

For the first time the Art Walk will also feature a car show! If you want to enter the show contact Sammie over at McGregor & Company: 360 698 5388

As always: You bring donations* for the CK Food Bank and our less fortunate neighbors, and you get a cookie and/or a taste of our house wines!

*Preferred donations include:

Non-perishable food items, sleeping bags, blankets, warm clothing, Backpacks, pre-paid gas cards, travel sized toiletries, pre-paid phone cards, grocery store gift cards, and money so that we can buy the things our neighbors need most.

And of course our coffee is complimentary for everyone.
